Therapeutic Massage w/ Ruston
A combination of Swedish, deep tissue, and trigger point for reducing pain, improving posture, and increasing mobility and movement. Though you’ll leave feeling plenty relaxed, our approach is more therapy and less “spa”. We specialize in working with athletes, physical jobs, and injury recovery.

Holistic Abdominal Therapy w/ Ruston
A combination of ancient Maya Abdominal Massage, Chi Nei Tsang, and Visceral Manipulation techniques to relieve congestion and blockages and improve the flow of energy and fluids of the circulatory, lymphatic, and nervous systems for optimum health and well being.

Dynamic Body Balancing w/ Lucy
A gentle, hands-on therapeutic approach that works with the body's fascial and craniosacral systems to unwind patterns of tension and restore greater balance and ease. Address physical and emotional stressors for all ages.

About
Lucy Aaker, BA, F-NTP
Lucy is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Dynamic Body Balancing/craniosacral therapy practitioner, birth attendant, and mother of four. She works with women, babies, children, and adults using a whole-body approach to health and wellness. Lucy's work is rooted in the belief that the body is interconnected and that lasting change begins with understanding and addressing root causes, rather than simply managing symptoms. As a Level 3 certified Dynamic Body Balancing practitioner, Lucy uses gentle, hands-on techniques including craniosacral therapy, myofascial release and unwinding, movement integration, and biofield therapy. She works with patterns of tension and restriction throughout the body, allowing the body to unwind and reorganize rather than forcing it into a particular position or pattern.
She has a particular interest in supporting:
-
Women throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery
-
Newborns, babies, and children through growth and development
-
Adults experiencing pain, tension, headaches, migraines, sleep difficulties, anxiety, or the effects of injury
-
Stressed out women needing to address the nervous system at a deeper level
As a mother of four, Lucy has a personal understanding of the physical demands of pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and caring for a growing family. Her background in nutritional therapy complements her bodywork practice, allowing her to look at the whole person and consider the many factors that may be contributing to how someone feels and functions.

About
Ruston Aaker, CMT
Owner and certified massage therapist, Ruston was born and raised in Luverne and recently returned to the area with his wife and four children. His approach to bodywork is centered on helping people move and feel better in their everyday lives.
Ruston’s therapeutic massage focuses on reducing pain and tension, improving posture, restoring mobility, and supporting healthier, more efficient movement patterns. While relaxation is often a welcome result of a session, his work is less focused on a “spa” experience and more focused on addressing underlying patterns that contribute to discomfort, pain, and restricted movement.
His therapeutic massage integrates a variety of techniques, including trigger point therapy, myofascial release, deep tissue therapy, evidence-based massage, assisted stretching, sports massage, and musculoskeletal bodywork. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Ruston tailors each session to the individual and their specific needs and goals. Sessions may focus on a particular area of pain or restriction while also considering how other areas of the body may be contributing to the pattern.
Ruston works with clients seeking support for
-
chronic tension and pain
-
limited mobility
-
posture concerns
-
injuries
-
athletic performance and recovery
-
preparation for or recovery from surgery
His goal is not simply to provide temporary relief, but to help clients better work with their bodies so they can move through daily life with greater comfort and ease.
Ruston has also expanded his practice to include Holistic Abdominal Therapy. This specialized work addresses the abdomen and pelvis and can support fertility and preconception health for men and women, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, digestive concerns, urinary issues, unexplained back pain, and other patterns of tension or restriction within the body. This gentle, hands-on approach brings attention to an area of the body that is often overlooked and can be an important component of overall structural and functional wellbeing.
Ruston graduated from Minnesota’s CenterPoint Massage & Shiatsu School & Clinic in 2012 and has spent more than a decade working with a wide variety of clients and conditions. His experience includes working with athletes, individuals managing diabetes and complex health conditions, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome, joint replacements, and those preparing for or recovering from surgery.
